I have never rented before, How does this work?
Select the costume(s) you want to rent from
our online rental department.
Complete the Rental Contract and fax, email, or mail it
to Akron Design.
We Ship the costume(s) to you for date specified on rental
contract.
You Ship the costume(s) back to Akron Design with provided
return label.

How
quickly can I receive my items?
That is a good question, but due to the size of
the USA it really depends. We ship via UPS Ground, UPS 3-Day Select,
UPS 2nd Day Air, & UPS Next Day Air. Please, consider your
location and how much you want to pay. We charge you $10.00 per
box for a handling fee plus the shipping from UPS. You can visit
ups.com
if you want to estimate. We are located in Akron, OH 44319. Oversized
boxes going UPS Next Day Air can easily cost over $100 for shipping
alone. You must have your rental contract sent to us on the business
day before it must be shipped, without a rush charge being applied
to your account. Rush charges are $15.00 a costume; This is in
addition to the rental and shipping fees.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express,
and Discover. You need a credit card to rent a costume from our
website. The credit card is used as a security deposit for the
rental. The owner of the credit card must sign the rental contract.

costumes for over 20 years. We have been on the net since 1998.

Who
cleans the costumes?
We clean the costumes. We don't trust
anyone else's dry cleaners and we really do know laundry. This
service is included in the rental price. Extreme cases of filth,
such as car grease or stains, may result in additional charges.

When is the costume due back to Akron Design?
When completeing the rental contrac, specify
the date you plan to return the costume. The rental price listed
with each costume includes 3 day shipping time to you, 1 day usage,
and 3 day shipping back to Akron Design. If the costume will be
out of the shop longer than 7 days, then additional rental time
may be added to the contract before the costumes leave our store.

Can I have a printed catalog sent to us?
No. We do not have a printed catalog for
rental or retail costumes. We find that we can keep our prices
low by displaying them on our website and we can keep all the
pages current. The days of printed catalogs are limited.

What is the security deposit on rentals?
Akron Design requires a credit card as a security deposit. Before
a costume leaves our shop we need the credit card number on file
to ensure that it is returned in the same condition. This also
allows us to charge additional rentals fees in case the customer
decide to keep the costume longer than expected. If the costume
is returned on time and in like condition, no rental fees will
be charged to your account.

How do I know if the costume is available?
You can call us to verify availability or
you can complete your rental contract and we'll contact you if
it is NOT available. You can also email
us to check availability. All rush orders must be phoned-in
and faxed by 2:00 p.m. EST. Additional rush charges are applied
to same day service. Regular online rentals should be faxed to
Akron Design 1 Business Day before they are expected to ship.

What is the shipping & handling charge on my rental?
The
rental prices on our website is for online customers who want
to rent a costume for one 7-Day Rental Period. This 7 day rental
period includes 2-3 days shipping to customer, 1 day usage, and
2-3 days shipping to Akron Design. If you plan to use the costume
more than 1 day or if it will take more than 7 days including
shipping time, You'll want to contact
us for the estimated rental price.
Rental Prices on our website do not include the shipping price.
Shipping cost depends on distance and weight of costume - sometimes
even the size or dimentions of the box. Obviously, CA is going
to pay more in shipping or transit time than someone who lives
in OH. Since every rental is unique, its very hard for us to give
you a concrete shipping price before we have packed your order.
For a light-weight small costume that is under 2-6 pounds, you
are looking at an average of $16-20.00 ($8-10 each way) for standard
shipping.
For Oversized, Heavy, and/or rental Animal/Mascot costumes, the
shipping is more on average: $30-60 ($15-30 each way) than other
costumes.
For NEXT DAY AIR or 2ND DAY AIR you will need to contact us via
phone: 330-644-0425. This is usually much more than standard shipping.
For 2ND DAY AIR it can range from $45 and up. For NEXT DAY AIR
it can range from $75 and up.
Handling is $10.00 per box. This fee includes employee time with
customer-email, fax, and/or phone, handling paperwork, boxes,
packing & shipping materials. Usually no more than 2 or 3
costumes per box. One to two animal/mascot costumes per box -
again depending on size.

What is the rental price code?

What sizes are available for each rental costume?
Since
there is not universal sizing in the USA, meaning, one company's
"size 12" is another company's "size 8" or
one company's suit size is a "44L" while another company
has the same suit as a "40R". It is near to impossible
for us to determine sizes with this kind of logic.
Due to this issue, We determine size by inches for an optimal
fit. This requires our customers to measure the person who needs
the costume in order for us to appropriately fit our customers.
Please review our sizing chart and measure the person who will
be wearing the costume(s) before you inquire about sizes.

Do you sell any of the rental costumes?
As a general rule, no we do not sell our
rental inventory. It seems every time we sold one, we got a request
for it. We are willing to duplicate one for you, give enough notice.
Due to different seasonal business, it is best to call one our
