The fun-filled exploits of Raggedy Ann, that beloved fictional doll whose heart declares "I love you" Have been transformed into an enchanting musical, inspired by the 1977 animated title that was directed by Oscar winning animator Richard Williams, with sixteen songs by Joe Raposo of "Sesame Street" fame.The story begins in the playroom of a little girl named Marcella, a place where wonderful things happen - but only after she is asleep. That's when Raggedy Ann and her pal Andy come to life, leading the other toys on incredible adventures.When a winsome new french doll called Babette is kidnapped by the notorious Pirate, "The Captain," Raggedy Ann and Andy venture off to find her in the deep deep woods of fantasy. Can they free Babette and make their way back to the nursery before daybreak? Perhaps - but first a string of delightful suprises awaits them.
